Vehicle Owner's Comments
2011 Cadillac Escalade Luxury. We have owned this vehicle for 7 years and my brother?s company bought it new. This Cadillac has received excellent service throughout its lifetime. I restore cars as a hobby and keep our vehicles in excellent running condition. As such, I have a tendency to replace parts as they wear and before they actually fail. Over the last 24 months the local Cadillac Dealer or I have replaced the headlight bulbs, radiator, radiator hoses, belts, belt tensioner and idler pulleys, water pump, thermostat, alternator, sparkplugs and plug wires, oil pan gasket, oil cooler lines, front wheel hubs, windshield, windshield wiper arms, lower windshield plastic valance, transmission and transfer case and rear differential seals, u-joints, all four electronic shocks, (those were pricy!!), rear lift gate gas struts, and all four brake pads and rotors. All parts used were either AC Delco or GM except the brakes, which are aftermarket high performance drilled and slotted rotors with matching pads that significantly increased stopping power. This Escalade passes smog easily and doesn?t leak a drop. All fluids are fresh and the Cadillac Dealer pressure bled the brake system with new fluid. Tires recently rotated and balanced, and the alignment checked. This Cadillac is a great vehicle.
So, what doesn?t work?? Great question! The only thing that doesn?t work is the auto retraction of the driver?s side mirror. If needed, you can pull it closed easily. The electric motor in the mirror runs but doesn?t retract the mirror. I just never got to it. There is a crack on the plastic part of the dash on the driver?s side under the dash cover, and the driver?s seat cushion is a bit cracked from wear. Lastly, there?s a bit of damage on the rear bumper cover when someone backed into us in a parking lot. Yes, they left without leaving a note. (key # A10)
